Philosophy

Franciscan Services Corporation promotes the philosophy and mission of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio, through leadership of a health and human services ministry, that in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, serves as an extension of Jesus’ healing ministry through participation in the mission of the Church.

The purpose of the health and human services ministry is to promote Christian community and enhance the dignity of all by providing optimal health and human services which contribute to the physical, psychological, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being of the people and communities served.

Ministry personnel, individually and collectively, witness to the gospel message of service through excellence of care in a spirit of equality and ecumenism, serving one another and all men and women as Jesus did, regardless of race, color, sex, creed, religion, ethnic origin, or financial status.
